Still brain-fogging it today so pardon the random stream of consciousness…
Today went quite well. I had more energy today than I’ve had in a long time. I almost felt normal! The biggest complaint for me over the last couple of days is that I feel shaky at times. It’s almost like low blood sugar shaky but my glucose levels are normal.
Once I start moving around and doing tasks, it tends to disappear.
Strange.
My instincts say it’s an issue with energy conversion, so, if it continues, I might look into some supplements or foods that will help support my body with that.
If you’re interested, check out this neurosurgeon’s site and poke around a bit. Dr. Jack Kruse is fantastic. I’ve just started looking into his blog recently, and I’m very impressed.
A couple more symptoms that have improved are the keratosis pilaris (bumps on the back of my arms) is almost gone again, the discoloration under my eyes is almost gone – it was still a bit green and purple today but the darkness is lessening -, and my skin is smoother though quite dry.
I’ve started to feel a bit achy so will have a detox bath in the morning. I so look forward to those now.
Katie is still doing much better. Bellyaches are fewer and less severe, and chicken is definitely a trigger. I’ve suspected chicken and it’s broth for awhile, but thought it may just trigger a healing reaction.
After getting my food antibody test back, I know chicken causes more of a reaction with me that other meats (probably the frequency that we eat it), so we will be eating chicken no more than once a week and poultry no more than twice.
I hope to stay away from chicken and rely on duck and turkey for poultry for a couple of months.
The dark circles under her eyes are much lighter and are concentrated on the inside corners of her eyes/nose like mine. There were NO TANTRUMS, whining, or arguing.
My Katie is back. Happy mommy. Happy daddy. Happy baby.
She does have a few bumps on her cheeks still, so I wonder if it’s the additional vitamin C in the acerola cherry powder. I’ll consider it a healing reaction unless it presents otherwise.
Her appetite’s improved dramatically and she’s mostly back to Katie portions (or should I say adult portions?). I found a new digestive enzyme complex at Whole Foods that I’m trying with her. She likes the taste and seems to be okay so far, so I will try rotating it with the Betaine HCl with pepsin that we have.
Hubby has a cold, but he’s following the diet for now. I think he may go back to milk in his coffee come Monday but we’ll see. He’s getting dramatically better, and I think his biggest complaint of neck and head pain are detox. He won’t take a bath (anyone surprised?), so I’m going to see if I can convince him to take a foot bath tonight if his shower isn’t enough to help today.
I have been supplementing more than I planned on, but I feel these are necessary right now. Vitamin C & D especially with the virus that’s been hovering around the house.
We’ve all been fine with the food, but hubby keeps talking about things like pancakes and dairy products. The popcicles that I made kept Katie happy with her sweet, crunchy, cold cravings. I’ll stick with those in different flavors (mostly teas) until she tires of them.
Overall a really good day! Easing into intro was definitely the way to go for us.
