Reiki treatments are intended to be a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Please wear comfortable clothes and leave any expectations at the door!
You’ll lay fully clothed with shoes removed in a soothing and calming treatment room. The hour-long session will start with a deep relaxation exercise designed to place you into a meditative brainwave state. I will then move into a guided treatment that includes aromatherapy to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and calm the mind, sound therapy to help harmonize the body’s electrical impulses, hand movements over areas where I feel need support that include resting my hands on or over an area of the body, sweeping motions, or other actions that help bring the energy into balance. Please let me know if you prefer no direct touch; the treatment is just as effective.
After your session, you will most often feel lighter, rejuvenated, and at peace. We will take a few minutes for water or a hot cup of tea to discuss your experience and share my observations. As an intuitive healer, I often receive information that goes beyond my training as a holistic practitioner.
After your appointment, be gentle with yourself for the next 24-72 hours. Drink additional water and add herbal teas if you enjoy them, take a warm Epsom salt bath, nourish yourself well with nutrient-dense healing foods like homemade soups and broth, and allow any shifting or releases to flow. Be fluid and embrace the healing process, but please call me if you have questions or experience anything that concerns.
