Just noticed mine are at that point too so off I go to gather up some buds and flowers ….Thanks so much for the timely sharing ♥
I would normally use sage leaves, but I had the unused buds that I had to do something with. I say try it out! It may give you a slightly floral scent that would be lovely.
oh so timely! we have white and purple sage flowers that are about to open! I’ve been interested in making a sage mouthwash for awhile, I didn’t know you could use the flowers too. I will pick them and link up your post on my facebook page. Love your site!
Glad I could help! I want to make an herb spiral for my daughter’s fairy garden, so I’m all over your post. I’ll be happy to help a fellow VGner out and share it on Facebook tomorrow. 🙂

Absolutely!
Jennifer, What a great recipe that is also healing! I will have to make this soon! Thanks for the recipe.
Absolutely! Hopefully, you can find a use for it in some of your yummy recipes.
Great article! My sage is already blooming lots of lovely purple flowers…can I use these for the recipe, or does it need to be buds?

Do you not need to dry sage, can you use fresh leaves?
I use it fresh from the plant so it retains the essential oils. Olive oil is a great preservative!
