    1. I am very excited about the Big Berkey water filtration system and hope I win! Drinking clean water helps decrease muscle and joint inflammation and enables better circulation.
      Thanks Jennifer 🙂

      1. I love the clean feeling you get inside and out when you drink filtered or natural spring water. Its so much sweeter than our tap water here at our place too.

        1. I am so sick of city water! The Big Berkey would be great for my family! There is nothing like the taste of pure water…

    2. I would not drink chlorinated water. One of the causes of heartburn and stomach irritation. I would love a better filter.

    3. Very good filtration can remove the high levels of hormone and prescription drugs in city water, which are so highly concentrated that waterways near New York City are experiencing gender and other mutations in the aquatic life. ICK.

    4. Being properly hydrated means you always have optimum energy levels as your body and it’s systems are in balance. Thank you!

    1. Does it really remove fluoride? I’ve seen several that say they do, but when people test it, it turns out it really doesn’t.

    1. The taste of clean water is the best! It keeps all the nasty chemicals out of our bodies, and that helps us function better. We have a 6 month old, and I would love this system so he only drinks great water.

  2. Filtered water has many health benenfits – chlorine, flouride, lead, etc. removed – but it just tastes sooo much better!

  3. The benefits are many–having clean drinking water is healthier for you, and I would especially love to avoid fluoride in our water.

  4. A water filtration system would make drinking a lot of water safe for my husband who has kidney disease.

  5. We’re about to move to a house with well water and I am thinking we SERIOUSLY need a good filtration system.

  6. It is better for your health, and cheaper than buying bottled water because you can refill your own bottle at home.

  7. Wow!!!! How exciting! What a fabulous give-away! Thank you. Over the past six months, since beginning my journey to more traditional lifestyle, I’ve been slowly collecting items to facilitate that journey. Thanks again.

  8. I shudder to think of all of the “additives” in city water–I know that using a filtered water system will help remove all the bad things–leaving clean, healthy water for me and my family! Plus–a filtration system at home means we can just fill up our own bottles–saving us time and money.

  9. I love filtered water, and having this Berkey would save so much time and energy, not to mention plastic jugs. Filtered water has so many benefits–takes out the bad stuff, while leaving the benefits of water there. much better for drinking and cooking. Thanks for the opportunity. :o)

  10. Getting rid of fluoride, chlorine and other contaminates in your water helps with health and if you want to culture things chlorine is a killer.

  14. I would love to win this! I’ve been trying to save for one but there is just never enough! I know I need to be drinking filtered water while I am pregnant, because it prevents chemicals from destroying my healthy gut flora, and prevents fluoride, aluminum and other toxins from causing cancer in myself and my baby. Praying that I can win this because I can’t afford it.

  25. Having this water filter would give me the ability to have high quality drinking water right in my own home. Normally, I drive out to a spring every few months for my drinking water. Also, no fluoride! Thanks for giving someone the chance to better their health!

  26. Filtered water, especially from a quality device, means no chemicals! I also have a trace mineral blend I can add to make it taste great!

  27. I think good water filtration is super important because of all of the dangerous metals and contaminants in our water. I have had to chelate my kids to remove aluminum and cadmium. We got rid of Teflon and all that junk years ago. But if you don’t have access to really good water filtration, you just don’t know what kind of junk is getting in to your family.

  28. Water filtration is imperative to a healthy body. I especially like the flouride filter offered for the berkey system. Coming from Hawaii (no flouride) to North Carolina (flouride), the berkey is an essential kitchen tool in my book.

  29. FIltered water tastes better, and gets rid of flouride and chlorine! The less toxins the better!

  30. A benefit of clean drinking water is that I feel good about the water I am drinking and giving to my family. Water is really the only liquid they drink so it is important that it is high quality. I would also like to find a good filtration system to get rid of fluoride (especially for my little kids).

  31. Filtered water is soo much healthier than tap water, especially with no chlorine and fluoride. I’m moving soon and would love to replace my old britta!

  32. Water without fluoride protects our brains and especially those of children. It also protects us from having toxic chemicals such as chlorine in our bodies.

  33. Filtered, clean water tastes better and is better for you. I don’t need to be ingested someone elses meds through the city tap water.

    Pure clean goodness!

  38. Unfortunately, the water where I live is fluoridated and I have been looking into various filters to avoid this and other harmful chemicals. Winning this would be amazing!

  39. I would love to get out the water contaminants, some we probably don’t even know that are there!

  40. Properly filtered water improves health by removing contaminants and excess minerals, and a filter like this allows for self-bottling using glass bottles!!

  41. Clean, fresh water is better for our bodies, plain and simple. I try to use filtered water for everything I drink and eat, but I just don’t always have enough. This would solve that problem.

  42. Having filtered water without flouride and chlorine would be another wonderful way to keep my family healthier.

  43. Clean drinking water is better for your health, as it doesn’t contain the chemicals and additives that are harmful for our bodies!

  44. we all need clean water to stay healthy, if we have the ‘cleaner’ water we will be drinking more and staying healthier ….. i hope i win this i so very much/desperately need it …. i have major health problems / trying to loose BUT i hate the test of the water around here ;( i know if i had a system like this then i would drink what i suppose to, loose more weight, and be getting into a better health

  45. Its hard to just name just one, but since I am dealing with this right now, drinking clean water decreases muscle and joint inflammation!

  46. Thanks for the opportunity to win this water purifier. If I win I’ll give it to my sister who is disabled. Her water supply is chlorinated. I read a previous comment about someone who is concerned about moving to where the water is from a well. For most of my life I’ve been fortunate enough to have well water. Chlorinated and fluoridated water is so bad for the human body. Yes, have your well water tested. That is wisdom. But anyone who uses water from a treatment plant that uses chemicals should do their bodies and their health a favor- Get A Filter! A good one! Research and be wise.

  47. Clean drinking water means dangerous contaminants like fluoride and chloramine are removed and the clean water helps flush out toxins which greatly reduces disease.

    I adore Berkey!

  48. Keeps fluoride out so that my babies can grow up as healthy and smart as possible! Cheers to reaching full potential.

  49. oooh. I would love to win this! i use an aquasana now which was great when i lived in portland and vancouver since they don’t fluoridate the water there but now i live in oakland where they do so it’s time to upgrade. berkey’s are spendy though so i hope i win. great giveaway!

  50. Clean water is one of the 5 things we need to live, got to have it and got to have it clean.

  51. I’m lucky that my community does not florinate our water supply, but there’s a ton of sediment and less than desirable things learking in our water still, and good water filtration unit, like a Berkey, can ensure my family has the cleanest healthiest water available!

  52. Drinking clean water helps your body to further flush out and eliminate toxins in your body while hydrating your organs to function at their best!

  53. To have clean healthy drinking water is a basic human right that is sadly ignored by our government. Taking matters into our own hands, and having a good filtration unit, like a Berkey, can ensure many years of happy, healthful living!

  54. One benefit of drinking clear filtered water is that it helps keep me from eating when I’m not actually hungry. 🙂

  55. There are so many toxins in water today that everyone should have one of these fo their families!

  56. I’d love one of these to put in my food storage for those ‘never know when you’ll need to filter unclean water’ moments. I’d love one of these!

  57. I would love to have clean drinking water by filtering out the fluoride and chlorine out of it. These chemicals are messing our bodies up.

  58. I live in an area that adds fluoride to our water. It concerns me that a medical treatment is put into my drinking water without my consent. This filter will help protect my family from exposure to a known toxin. Thank you for the opportunity to own this wonderful system.

  59. Water from the tap may contain fluoride, pharmaceutical drugs, chlorine, and even bad bacteria, so filtered water is a must….

  60. A major benefit of having truly clean drinking water would be I actually have the desire to drink it. We’re on city water and it’s terrible. I’d also like to have a Berkey incase of disaster type situations. Good luck everyone!

  61. Fluoride, chlorine and chloramines are extremely toxic to our bodies. Not only will this filter out these, but will also filter out parasites, bacteria and viruses in the water! I would love to win this!

  62. This Berkey is beautiful! I teach my students to drink filtered water to help remove the chlorine & keep it from entering their cells — chlorine is a possible cancer causing agent… and drinking your own filtered water keeps you from drinking so much ‘plastic’ from bottled water….

  63. I LOVE WATER! It is So good for you!….As long as it is clean at least. It’s scary what they put in water now a days….

  64. Maybe this isn’t the most important reason of all, but it’s important to ME – purified water tastes better!!!!!!

    Thanks for hosting!!!!

  65. I have wanted a Berkey water filter since we moved to our present home. The water is from a well but does not taste good and often has too much iron so we do not drink it. Water is our favorite drink so I buy 14 gallons of water most weeks to have just enough for drinking since there are 4 of us.

  66. A big benefit is taking harmful chemicals like fluoride out of of the water!

  67. One benefit is: it is possible to cure and prevent many diseases by drinking large amounts of clean water.

  68. Water filters are great for your health because the remove chemicals that are hard on our body. Ad if you have chemical sensitivities like I do it is important to put the best possible water in your body.

  69. Now with all the added chemicals that are in our water, choosing to have clean filtered water is the way to go.

  70. American bones have 2500-5000 ppm fluoride. 1000 ppm makes teeth break and bones more brittle (because the body hooks fluoride to the calcium in bones, rendering it useless to us) filtered water would greatly decrease the amount of fluoride in our bodies.

  71. If I had the money to buy anything right now, a Berkey filter would be at the very top of my list! There are so many reasons why properly filtered water is important. Water is vital; it is the one thing that we *should* be able to rely on. But with our planet being burdened and abused as it is, even this fundamental part of our livelihood is being compromised. Safe drinking water is no longer something to take for granted. For those who are lucky enough to have water that is free of pathogens, they are still being inundated by poisons such as fluoride, chlorine, bromide, pharmaceuticals, antibiotics, pesticides, PCB’s, heavy metals, artificial hormones, AND THE LIST GOES ON. I am determined to get a Berkey filter before my five month old starts drinking water. It’s bad enough that he has to be exposed to toxins via my breast milk. I am trying my hardest to break free from this toxic modern lifestyle. Winning this filter would mean so much to me.

  72. Filtered water doesnt contain harmful pathogens and chemicals which can cause disease and create toxicity in the body. The benefits of filtered water that leaves the alkalizing minerals is that you are drinking live water as opposed to many bottled waters that are distilled and essentially dead.

  73. Clean water is so important for health as it is one of the most consumed products by humans and keeps our body running smoothly.

  74. One great benefit is psychological (I don’t mean psychosomatic!); I could be so much less worried about what we are consuming if I knew that our water was truly filtered.

  75. Using a water filter makes your water taste great, is cheaper then buying bottled water and keeps all those plastic bottles out of the landfill!

  88. By removing Lead, MTBE’s and viruses. In addition, chlorine and bacteria (giardia, e-coli, etc) is very important to detoxifying our bodies and live healthy life :). I definitely dying to do this because a love my family!. All is holding me is that we cannot afford it :(.

  89. I just read about the Berkley Water Filter system last night on another site. I would love to have one, as I live in an area where old iron pipes are used to bring water to my house. I filter the water we drink and cook with, but it is just a charcoal-type filter. I believe the Berkley would make the water taste better and be safer for those of us who get white shale in our water. This is a wonderful chance you’ve given us, to own such a great clean water system and we all thank you!!! 🙂 Cathy.

  90. Filtered water taste better and gets the smell of chlorine out. If it is more like nature intendend then it just has to be better for your body.

  91. One benefit of clean water is better taste. Surely lower on the list of importance but it’s a nice thing. 🙂

  92. Clean water is vital to our continued health. Unfortunately, I live in a house with lead pipes, and my landlord isn’t required by law to replace them. Given how important clean water is to a community’s health, I just can’t understand why my landlord isn’t required to be them removed…

  98. Thanks for the opportunity! Need a water filter and have been impressed with everything I read about berkeys.

  99. filtered water is better for fermentation purposes. It doesn’t let unidentifiable bacteria get into my sourdough starter or my kombucha or sauerkraut. Also, it is always better to know what I am drinking than not.

  100. Ooohhhh- I’ve been wanting one of these… We’d love to have a source for clean water like this!

  102. trying to be more health conscious for myself and for my family!! excited to try this filtration system!!

  103. I am in need of clean water to keep my body healing! Clean water reduces toxin exposure and it tastes so much better :))

  104. I NEED a berkey!!! Filtering the water gets rid of the awful taste, not to mention the awful chemicals that cause it!

  105. Filtered water is healthy as all the contaminants are removed. Plus the added bonus of no longer having to buy bottled water to avoid the dangerous chemicals found in tap water.

  106. Drinking water is the most important thing we can do for our health. A gallon a day is ideal, but I still haven’t made it there to be honest. I do start my day with a full quart before I eat anything though, and then if I can get a couple more quarts in, I’m feeling good. High quality, purified, filtered water is all the more better!

  107. Clean, filtered drinking water helps to avoid many toxins that can show up in our water supply

  108. fresh clean water for adequate hydration is the prime requirement for maintaining excellent health.

  125. I hate using plastic! This provided clean, great tasting water without the need to purchase plastic bottles of drinking water. Thanks for the giveaway!

  135. Our family doesn’t drink tap water, but with this filter we can take out the fluoride and save the earth three people at a time.

  136. Clean water is so important for reducing disease! Our church group helps support an orphanage in Kenya. About a year ago they were able to get a well drilled. About a week ago the pump quit and within just a few days, some of the children were already getting sick from the water that was hauled in from some distance.

  161. Clean water is better tasting and healthier by removing contaminants like heavy metals and chemicals like chlorine and fluoride!

  162. Benefits of clean drinking water: avoiding getting VOCs, chlorine, fluoride and other nasty contaminants into your precious body! I’m a mom and a cancer survivor, and I take this seriously.

  163. When you filter your water you remove the chlorine and fluoride so it is much healthier. Besides, it tastes better! Thank you for this opportunity!

  164. Filtered water doesn’t give me headaches like tap water does! I would feel much better knowing that every time I boil water I am not consuming a concentrated amount of fluoride.

  165. I have been obsessed with this filter all month! How did you know? I want to get the filth out of our water so I can feel better about my family drinking it.

  166. I would love to get the chlorine out of our drinking water…sometimes after my kids have a shower, I can smell chlorine in the air…thats the same water we drink – eek!

  167. Clean pure water is the basis for good health. I worked in a private lake front area and many in that area died of cancer. I told my daughter lets not drink the water here. Recently read water report from there. It warned people with comprimised immune systems and cancer NOT to drink the water. Whose to say drinking it in the first place didn’t cause them to have comprimised immune systems in the first place!

  168. Clean drinking water is important for so many reasons – filtering out the flouride, toxins, antibiotics, chemicals, bacteria, and parasites leaves us with clean, mineral-rich water that helps keep our bodies alkaline and in a better position for general wellness and healing!

Thank you for doing this giveaway! We’ve had a Berkey on our wishlist (saving-for list) for awhile now, so to win this one would be amazing! Do you have one of your own? Are you loving it? We’ve only heard good things about them! =)

    Much love,
    Erin

  169. I’d love my son to drink healthier water without any nasty chemicals. The water and ice from our tap tends to have visible floating things in it. Icky! I think a filtration system this fancy would excite my husband and encourage him to drink more water.

  170. Filtered water helps the body naturally cleanse itself. When we drink water full of contaminants our body has to rid itself of those too. How is it supposed to flush with that? I’m loving your site! Thanks for all the work you’ve put into it and for sharing.

  171. Drinking clean water helps prevent diseases by eliminating toxins from entering the body. As a bonus, clean drinking water just tastes refreshing. Would love to win this prize!

  172. Clean water tastes great and helps you stay hydrated! Our well water doesn’t taste great and makes me want to reach for other beverages which are full of unneeded calories!

  173. no fluoride = better health. We love lemon water, but our little one is allergic therefore we need a good system for him 🙂 thanks!

  174. Without clean water, we were getting sick all the time. There are all kinds of pathogens that can be in water! I’m ready to protect our immunity!

  175. My children’s health depends on clean drinking water. Contaminated Ground Water! What more can I say?

  176. Filtered water tastes amazing! I avoid chlorine and fluoride in other products and would really love for it to be taken out of my water!

  177. Our family is on a journey to better health. We have made some major changes and have seen results. We still have a long road ahead. This filtration/purification system would help us tremendously. Drinking clean water is so much better for us. This would ensure that we are removing fluoride and other harmful chemicals and bacteria from our drinking water which will improve our overall health.

  178. I think everyone who’s commented before me has covered just about every possible benefit, lol. I would love to win a Big Berkey for my family. 🙂

  179. My son and I are both “super-tasters”, so pretty much all water has a funky taste of some kind or another! This would be great for us! (Yes, even bottled water tastes like plastic, and don’t even get me started on why we don’t drink out of plastic containers!)

  180. Our bodies are mostly made of water and it is needed in every process of it, from breathing, growing, digestion, skin integrity, and a host of cell activity. So it reasons out that the better water you consume, the healthier you can become. Thanks for hosting the giveaway ~ winning would be pure pleasure.

  181. Can anyone say GUT FLORA?! Clean water won’t kill the good stuff in your gut that keeps you healthy.

  182. City water is traditionally really, really bad. Just have your water tested. Having a water purification filtration system of some sort is essential given the quality of water (or lack of) in most cities, towns, etc. Our bodies are something like 50-60% water. Good, quality water is a must to be free from allergies and all sorts of illnesses.

  183. There’s nothing like drinking pure, clean water. I’m wanting to win this for my sister and her new little family!

  184. I’ve been saving for one of these for FOREVER!!!! What a generous give-a-way!!!! Thank you! 🙂

  185. Filtered water lowers your chemical intake and can help prevent many health issues and diseases, as well as improve your current health.

  186. I am constantly looking for improved ways of filtering my tap water, I really dislike the taste and odor of unfiltered water. The smell actually keeps me from drinking it, and I think having better filtration would increase my family’s water intake. This system looks awesome!

  187. The best benefit I can imagine is that you are nourishing your body with each sip of clean water, rather than consuming harmful metals and other nasties.

  188. One benefit of having a Big Berkey would be that I could use fluoride filters so that my 16 month old daughter wouldn’t ingest the fluoride in tap water! Among other things 🙂

  189. Filtered water is healthier in so many ways. I have heard good things about the Big Berkey Water Filter, and would love to win one!

  190. I’m very concerned about the fluoride and chlorine in my water. I was just pricing these on Amazon when I found your blog. I would truly love to win this.

  191. Some have mentioned neutralizing chlorine by adding lemon juice or ascorbic acid to the water. This will eventually wear down tooth enamel. Water helps relieve back pain and arthritis. It is the main lubricant in joints. Water is essential for EVERY function in our bodies. A water filter is an essential health item.

  192. I love how the functions in our body work so much better when we consume/increase our daily water intake. We have two children (boys) in our household who clog our toilet often. I repeat my mantra – drink more water – it helps EVERYTHING “move” better! The better the water, the better the effects on our bodies.

  193. Clean water just plain tastes better!! I drink loads of water and I don’t want anything sneaking by 🙂

  194. With the overabundance of toxins in our water and food these days, I really want a Berkey filter so I don’t have to worry about one thing I give my two little boys.

  195. There are many benefits to drinking filtered water but mainly I want my family to drink the most clean water available to them.

  196. By drinking clean water we further limit our consumption of toxins (ex: fluoride, BPA, & chlorine) and metals that are found in tap water. 201. I really want this water filter! I love the thought that this would filter out so many harmful chemicals. I have been getting bottled water and I don’t like the problem plastics can cause, such as breast cancer. So I really need this!

  202. My mother is a Senior Hydrogeologist and as such, I have had a lifetime of knowledge of the importance of clean water. What a fantastic giveaway – thank you!!

  203. Clean water is important because our bodies are made up mostly of water and keeping it clean in my opinion is the very basis of health. I feel blessed to live in a country where it is readily available but even more blessed that I live with a well on my property that has the best water ever. That being said I’d still love this thing to because all my cleaning recipes and natural living ideas require purified or distilled water. This is my dream filter, thank you for the opportunity to win one!

  204. I’ve been very sick for 2 years from living in a home with high levels of toxic mold. At the top of my list of absolutely important aspects for healing is always drinking water free of chemicals and impurities. My doctor recommends a Berkey filter system, but I can’t afford it since I’m unable to hold down a job.

  205. I love the idea of not having having to use bottled water in plastic bottles, but I would never use tap water without a filter. I hope I win this!!

  206. I can’t express how excited I would be to own a *Berkey*!!! I spend a good amount of time filling 5-gallon jugs at the store, then hauling them using a baby tailer on my bike (only one at a time or the thing would rip! And we have 7 jugs!). I also I think a Berkey would not only be more convenient, but I could be a little more “sure” about just how my water was being filtered!

  207. I would love this…I make homemade baby formula and this would keep me from buying spring water. I want to keep harsh chemicals such as chlorine and fluoride out of my baby’s system.

  208. One of the MANY benefits of drinking clean water is better gut health/immune system because there’s no chlorine to damage the good bacteria in the gut.

  209. Water without all the impurities and chemicals is so much better for our health… and tastier! Would love to win the means to keep my family healthier!!!

  210. It’s not only the flouride and chlorine, but I want to filter out all the other contaminants that may have gotten in. Filtered water is so important to staying healthy! And for making Kombucha!

  211. There are so many chemicals we unnecessarily ingest when we drink water. The purer the water the better for flushing out our systems. I would love one of these for our home.

  216. Clean water reduces inflammation and gives your kidneys a break. It helps flush toxins from your system. And it just makes you feel good – refreshed and hydrated!

  217. Not only do I crave good water, but it is imperative to have fresh and balanced water when brewing kombucha. The water where I live in caries bacteria that causes my brew to have a high sulfur content and it really affects the good bacteria in the tea. Clean water is the only way to circumvent this and produce a good brew. Love, love, love the water you get from a Berkey. They are the way to go! 🙂

  219. I’ve been trying to save up for this as it’s the only realistic and efficient way to remove fluoride from the water and going back to Pa from Vermont (where the water is clean naturally), I’m worried about my newborn being bombarded by fluoride when he starts eating and drinking. It’s also helpful in bone cancer prevention for my lovely rottie.

  220. I could very much use a water filter to remove the toxic fluoride they are putting in our water here. Fluoride does much more damage than they say it does.

  221. I have been looking at/wanting one of these for a while….would really love to win it. Have a thyroid problem so chlorine and flourine are big issues. Imagine how much healthier you can be without all those nasty chemicals.

  224. I think clean drinking water just tastes SO much better. Compare the water at my home to the water at my mother’s……HUGE difference.

  225. With all the baking, cooking and canning I do, a Berkley filter system would be awesome to have!!

  226. My tap water is contaminated with chlorine and fluoride, both of which scare me as I get water for my toddlers.

  227. I really can’t have a glass of clean water here – everything taste either bleach…y or metallic. I think my kids don’t even know what CLEAN water tastes like. This one would be sooooooo nice looking in my kitchen 🙂 Crossing my fingers here and hoping for a win

  228. Good, clean water allows your body to rest and purge some bad stuff instead of dealing with an extra onslaught of pesticides, medicines, and other toxins coming from your water. It also contributes to the healthy mineral balance of your body, rather than leaching minerals away.

  229. Clean, pure water is just the basis for the integration of a healthy life. Clean and healthy….begins with your water. The rest will fall into place.

  230. For the sake of my kids, and for the sake of everyone who enters my space, I’d like to have super clean water. I’ve been wanting one of these for eons! Thank you for the generosity!

  242. Clean water feeds and cleans our bodies. Unfortunately most of the water we get where I live is reverse osmosis (with flouride). Would love to have this Berkey!

  243. How can I pick just one?! Not only does clean water taste better and not give me heartburn, but it’s awesome for over all health and keeps the body running amazingly!

  245. i have a bad kidney, so filtered water is best for me…also, it’s better for my whole family

  246. I believe that our water is not much better than the third world countries that I’ve been too. Only it’s contaminated with man made things rather than bacteria and such. This is why I think filtered water is so important.

  247. water is the basic necessity of life. I don’t think we as humans should have to worry about what it is contaminated with. It makes up so many different things. clean drinking water should not be a privlage.

  248. It doesn’t make sense to me to eat a clean diet and not clean water too. Unfortunately it’s easier to control our food choices when buying at the store; one can’t control what’s in (or not in) municipal supplied water, and a well has in it what a well has in it! 🙂

  249. My main reason for wanting this is to get rid of Fluoride and other things I didn’t agree to have placed in my drinking water to begin with 🙂

  250. Chlorine is one of my food sensitivities, I would LOVE to be able to filter out the chlorine in our water 🙂

  251. I would absolutely love to win this filtration system. We were on well water for the last 3 months and have now moved back to the city. I am pregnant and can no longer lug around the 5 gallon jug that I refill at the Whole Foods reverse osmosis station every week, but need filtered water more than ever!!

  252. I have the perfect place waiting for this Berkey Water Filter in my home. I’ve done my research and this filter fits the bill! Thanks for your generous give-away!

  253. Clean water is a must. It helps you lose weight, fight hunger, and flushes your body of toxins. I think that something as simple as the water that comes out of your tap, you should be able to trust that is is safe. The fact that turning on the tap does not produce ‘safe’ water is a shame. 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity to win this system!

  254. Having a filtered water system is essential for heath! Keeps the bad flora out and the good in! <3

  255. When you are confident in the water you consume, you freely consume! Water is life, clean water is clean life!!

  256. I have been checking out Berkey for awhile now and all of the reviews are glowing! I am extra excited about the fluoride and arsenic filters. Where I live they pump fluoride into the water and I desperately need a system like this to remove it. 🙂

  257. BIG health concern…I need one!!! It took our local officials WEEKS to admit our “stinky” water had a problem so I’m not confident I believe it poses no health risk! …. “The Fayette County Water System has been issued a Notice of Violation from the Georgia Environmental Protection Division concerning total trihalomethanes (TTHM) in the water supply. County officials said the violation does not pose a health risk.” http://www.thecitizen.com/articles/07-24-2013/fayette-system-search-new-water-cleaning-techniques

  258. We use filtered water for everything – drinking, cooking, etc. We also get well water from a friend for our kefir … it’s a scary thing when tap water kills my grains, not something I want in our bodies!

  259. The benefits of drinking clean, filtered water are endless! The main reasons my family would benefit would be that it would filter out fluoride and other impurities! Thanks!

  266. Id love to win the filter. Our water is so dirty and plastic water bottles aren’t much better.Id love to get rid of the fluoride.

  267. Better health….I have low thyroid problems as well as other women in my family. I now know that fluoride, chloride and other contaminants in normal tap water can compete for the iodine receptors in your thyroid gland and cause all kinds of ill effects in the body (high blood pressure, hormonal imbalance etc.)

  268. Drinking water is one of the best ways to prevent muscle tightness/spasms. Plus it’s just yummy and refreshing 🙂

  269. While it is nice not to have city water with all the crap they put in it, I’m afraid our well water isn’t as pure as I would like it to be. I would love a Berkley!!

  270. Our environment and water system is already toxic and, yet, state governments add additional toxicity such as flouride and chlorine. Flouride is not removed by typical water filtration systems but the Berkey system removes flouride along with arsenic, these extremely toxic chemicals, from our water. We have a right to clean drinking water but we must also be responsible in this day and age to make it happen. Therefore, I have done my homework and Berkey is the system that meets all my requirements. Thank you Berkey for being a committed stand for clean drinking water. Laura Polanco

  275. Clean water is important so my kids arnt drinking flouride and toxins! I want to get away from plastic as much as possible also!

  276. Tap water has added fluoride, which studies show to be dangerous, along with other minerals that are hard on your body. Filtered water tastes better and is better for you. I would love the chance to own such a great tool for improving health and teaching my kids good habits!

  280. I was just thinking of buying this today, but decided to postpone it due to the price… Hope I win it 🙂

  281. What a great giveaway. Clean drinking water is essential for good health. I live in West Texas and have to purchase all our drinking water and ice. Having a Berkey would save time and money. Thanks for the chance.

  282. There’s nothing like knowing the water you’re drinking is fresh and pure, especially when you’re familiar with the devastation and illness caused by the filthy drinking, bathing, and cleaning water endured by all too many people in this world. Water is vital to good health, and pure water clearly promotes better health.

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  283. clean water is the basis for good health. Our bodies are mostly made up of water and require substantial water daily. To be able to provide my family with truly clean drinking water would be to provide a solid foundation for overall health.

  284. Your body doesn’t have to work so hard to digest it since it doesn’t have a bunch of stuff in it the body has to get rid of!

  285. The easiest way to keep our bodies clean of contaminants and synthetics is to drink clean filtered water!

  286. A benefit of having clean drinking water is maintaining a high level of standard as part of our health regiment. We believe in eating clean foods and water free of chemicals or pollutants is a top priority in our house of 4. Our bodies deserve the best and filtered water is the best, as we don’t consume bottled water in our home.

  287. If you don’t have clean water to drink then your health and all the many processes in your body which require water will not function correctly thus effecting your health.. Health is worth more than all the wealth in world.

  290. There are so many great benefits to clean water. My favorite is how much better it tastes than water out of the tap!

  291. I hate that I can’t trust my own town to provide my family with water that doesn’t have trace contaminants from their purification system, or any other frightening materials that may lower my life expectancy… I would welcome a purification system that isn’t only 4 cups at a time…

  292. We currently filter about one gallon of water at a time. Boy, this would definitely be a time saver and filter out more of the impurities than we do now.

  293. Water is the best thing in the world for every cell in your body! I prefer to drink the best and this water purifier would save alot of plastic bottles.

  294. Getting the chemicals out….in the hottest part of the summer, I can smell the chlorine in my tap water.

  295. I live in a trailer park where the water is well water. Filtering the water gets rid of the fishy smell and my dog seems to like it better. (Maybe she knows something we don’t?)

  296. Beautiful water like this helps make the body more alkaline, and we can all use anything that helps! The majority of our world is acidifying.

  297. Clean water removes the worry of not knowing for sure if unsafe or harmful, unseen things are in the water your family uses. I’ve heard of several cases of illness caused by drinking unfiltered water that was cured once those effected started drinking filtered water.

  298. Drinking lots of fresh, clean water every day keeps my body in great working condition. I’ve recently moved to a part of the US where the water is not very good. I’ve been looking for a great water system so I can continue to treat my body good!

  299. Drinking lots of water every day keeps my body in good working order. I recently moved to an area that doesn’t have very good drinking water. I’ve been looking for a good system!

  300. It would be great to drink clean, fresh water instead of the horrible city water we have with strong chlorine smell and taste!

  301. Water Helps Keep Skin Looking Good. Your skin contains plenty of water, and functions as a protective barrier to prevent excess fluid loss. But don’t expect over-hydration to erase wrinkles or fine lines, says Atlanta dermatologist Kenneth Ellner, MD.

“Dehydration makes your skin look more dry and wrinkled, which can be improved with proper hydration,” he says. “But once you are adequately hydrated, the kidneys take over and excrete excess fluids.”

You can also help “lock” moisture into your skin by using moisturizer, which creates a physical barrier to keep moisture in.

  302. My daughter just asked for a bottle of water and said, “I’ll fill up my water bottle with sink water” NO! With 6 kids a good water filter system is a must. I would love to try this system.

I have been investigating alternate sources for obtaining clean drinking water and the Berkley water filter has been brought to my attention on several occasion I hope to obtain one in the near future!

  304. Clean drinking water provides your body with many beneficial minerals. I love the idea of being able to filter out the fluoride and other harmful chemicals for my family. Thanks for the chance to win.

  305. Peace of mind, knowing you are giving your family good water and limiting their exposure to unhealthiy elements

  306. Filtered water is healthier and I hope that it will help my son with neurological issues to get better, as this filter suppose to be the best.

  307. Filtered water is safer for my daughter and my family, not just for drinking, but for cooking with too.

  308. Filtered water from a Berkey is a good way to have a means of creating filtered water that is portable as well as free of questionable plastic materials (actually, I’m not 100% sure, is this true?) I think it would also be a good way to reduce or minimize any added fluoride or chlorine from tap water. Knowing that water is filtered also increase the likelihood that more water will be consumed more regularly and with good conscience about doing so!

  309. You can say buh-buy to chlorine and hello to restoring your stomach flora when you drink filtered water.

P.S. This is a beautiful system!

  310. Clean water is the best preventative medicine. So many nasty chemicals in water these days. Flouride? Ick!

  311. I would love a chance to win this. We are very concerned about our water and are big on drinking as much as we can. We have only a small Brita filter and it isn’t enough for a family of 5 to keep up. This would be a great way for us all to get a lot of filtered clean daily.
Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  312. It’s just that much more refreshing when drinking water you know doesn’t have all that extra “stuff” in it!

  314. Since moving to IL, and a public water system, I have gained 60 pounds and are always “just a little” unwell. I really think its the water. I live in an agriculturally heavy area with run-off and shallow water wells. Plus the village water system adds salt, chlorine and fluoride. We eat well, grow all of our vegetables, buy organic when we can and exercise but just can’t loose the weight.
Good water is the essence of life and should be clean and pure…if only everyone had that luxury.

  315. Big Berkey is the choice of missionaries world wide. I would certainly like to own one of these water purifiers!

  316. There are so many chemicals added to our drinking water today that a really good water filter like Berkey is a necessity. And if there is ever a disaster, it could mean the difference between survival and tragedy.

  317. It said that I had already commented and would not allow me to post another but people should know that our bodies are approximately 75% water but our brains are about 85% water. If you start to feel a bit slow in your thinking or are not thinking clearly, you might be dehydrated. If you are going to fill your brain with good and positive thoughts, you probably should fill your body with clean water!

  318. I’m entering every day because I REALLY want this! Clean drinking water will help my kombucha taste delicious and pure!

  319. Just over 2 years ago, at 39, I had a massive stroke & my grandson was born “special.” In these past 2 years we have tried very hard to become as healthy as possible. The very first thing we did was buy a “Brita” filter. I had never been a water drinker, it always tasted “off” The best thing I can say about clean filtered water is that it tastes fresh & real & I WANT to drink it now!

  320. I just had a nice spill and skinned my knees last week. I thought of how important it is to have clean water to treat injuries!

  321. the city where i work uses chemicals to treat the water, filtering it is the only way to make it drinkable … bringing filtered, chemical free water from home is usually the healthy choice.

  322. The best reason to drink purified water is the taste! You can give up all the junk drinks if you have a cool glass of purified water to quench your thirst and refresh you body.

  323. Having access to clean, healthy water is a necessity for life. You can’t survive without clean water to drink. My water at my house is terrible! We’ve got 2 filters on it but still tastes bad. It would be so awesome to have this!!

  324. Water is supposed to purify and cleanse while being the foundation of our bodies. We live in a world where we have sacrificed the purity of our environment and disease and illnesses are the price we pay. Clean, pure water is one way to flush out these toxins.

  325. I would love to have another option for clean water, especially when I travel in my car. I could bring it on my Los Angeles trips. Los Angeles water tastes awful at the very least of its problems. If I don’t like the taste, I won’t drink it and then I become dehydrated. Good tasting water gives incentive to stay hydrated. Also, I have no interest in drinking fluoride. We don’t have it where I live, but if they add it, I want the ability to remove it.

  326. I would not have to visit my local water store to pay of filtered water. I would use it all the time!

  327. We have well water that has many minerals–very hard water. The way it coats dishes and leaves deposits on the electric kettle, I feel it may also be too heavy for our bodies. Filtered water would eliminate some of this burden, if my thinking is correct.

  328. What a BLESSING!!! Clean water is paramount for ones system to function/flush properly. How great this will be for a follower. Certainly, I will love this, we’ll wishes to all <3

  329. I like the taste of well water because I grew up on it but now that we moved and are drinking processed water I cringe at the things that are/were in it. I’m pretty sure that my tiny filter in the fridge is not doing a fantastic job of getting the really harmful stuff out.

  330. Good drinking water is so much more than taste. We are made up of mostly water, so it makes sense that every cell in our body cries out for purity in the food & water we give it. Let’s start our children off right, & make up for lost time in our own bodies by starting now. The Big Berkey Water Filtration system is a great way to help us stay healthy.

  335. It’s one of the few things (that are easy to fix) I haven’t yet eliminated, or rather made better for our family. I’ve switched cleaning products, I do my best to buy organic and local, and have switched to better personal care products, or make my own. I have read an article (either on your site or mommypotomus) that says fluoride (found in water supplies) can play a part in causing Down syndrome. I couldn’t bring myself to read the research article because I just couldn’t do it. My son has DS and the article would have probably made me feel guilty or in the very least feel bad for thinking that I could have done something to change who he is. There’s nothing I would do to change who he is, he’s a blessing from God. I just want him to be healthy! Period.

  336. Filtered water is healthier, environmentally friendly since you can reuse cups/take away mugs and keeps us all healthier!

  393. I am becoming more and more concerned with what is in our water. My kids and I are big water drinkers. We don’t buy bottled water any more because, even though we recycled the bottles, it’s still not an earth friendly option. In the last year, my mom’s memory has very suddenly started to slip.
