  1. I live in an apartment with no deck and no outdoor space (but lots of windows!), so I don’t have much of a garden at all. I had a nice herb garden going, but then I adopted a cat and she started eating my chives, the one thing in there that could be poisonous to cats. As a solution, I stuck the pot with my herbs in it in a closet as a temporary solution until I could pull the chives out. But you know…out of sight, out of mind. Anyway, I’ve got to replant my herb garden now 🙂

  2. You’re not alone! I am an awful gardener but I try! I have the desire if nothing else. My parents finally came into town to visit last weekend and my dad (who has a landscaping business and always a thriving garden) got to work pruning and fixing my little patio garden. It actually looks like I know what I’m doing now!

  3. Mulching with leaves, compost, and grass clippings has virtually eliminated/minimized the weeds in my main garden this year. We also did raised beds for the first time, although I made mine about a foot deep and put down newspaper at the bottom. Weeds don’t really have a place to grow my plants have crowded everything out. I did it square foot style and was really amazed!
