  1. Can you use a carrier oil and EO that are both astringents? Or use two astringent carrier oils together? Can it be too drying for certain skin types? Thanks! ☺

    1. You definitely can! The amounts and combinations used will help determine whether the combination is too drying for your skin. I would suggest to start slow to see how your skin responds.

  2. My face started turning red and it felt very hot after cleansing my face with a mix of castor and grape seed oils. I believe the irritation was due to the inexpensive microfiber cloths that I had been using. Have you heard of that happening to someone? I do not normally have any skin sensitivities and since I switched to a different wash cloth my skin has been reacting better to the oils. Also, is there a specific type of cloth for sensitive skin? Thank you so much for helping me make this transition easier for my family and I!

    1. I react with redness and burning from grapeseed oil, so that may be part of it. My favorite oils are jojoba and apricot seed oil. Microfiber can also definitely irritate sensitive skin. Mine is sensitive, so I know where you’re coming from! My favorite thing to cleanse with is 100% cotton prefold cloth diapers. They’re all natural and most brands are super soft.

  3. Have you shared your recipe for your lotion balm? I just started washing with oils and am finding that my face is still somewhat dry afterwards. Thanks!
