  1. Oh congratulations! It's so good to hear about someone else that is struggling with their sugar addiction but was able to stay STRONG! This was perfect timing and I just got done writing about how I thought the addiction was manageable and this past weekend has shown me otherwise :/ Good for you for focusing on the longterm – being the health of you and your daughter 🙂

  2. LOL, I had to chuckle at your comment of almost chewing your lips off to keep your mouth shut. I definitely can relate! 🙂 Good job on sticking with it, and cool on your marrow bones and oxtails, that should make a wonderfully gelatinous soup!

  3. I can SO relate to these junk food cravings. I've been through this off and on throughout the past year, starting a year ago when I gave up dairy and soy. Anyway, I wanted to let you know the thing that I found that helped me the most was a book called Women and Food and God. (It's not a religious book, fyi) But it is about how we are more powerful than our food cravings and how we can get the control back. It totally changed my attitude toward food. I HIGHLY recommend it!

  4. Thanks so much Annie! It's now on my must read list. I am happiest devouring a good book (during my alone time at least) and am always on the lookout for a new one. Sugar Blues by william Duffy was the one that got me started on my quest to remove sugar from my diet nine years ago. It was a life changer!
