Begin Your Journey to Better Health Through Real Food

Wouldn’t it be awesome to feel like this? What if you could eat well to be well and actually know what that means? What if you could baby step your way to healing allergies and chronic illnesses?

Now I can’t officially tell you that we can do that. The government frowns on claims that natural methods can heal and could quite possibly come after me all lynch mob style with machetes and pick axes. Hey, it could happen. Let’s just say that eating the right diet is a very important part of health.

Okay, now that the stuffed shirts have stopped reading…

REAL FOOD is the key to healing your body of allergies and chronic illnesses. Our bodies are amazing machines, but they break down without the proper fuel. They need nutrients to function properly and repair from damage, and our modern diets are sorely lacking in nutrients these days. To put it bluntly, the current food system is like sugar in a gas tank.

I used to lay in bed for 30 minutes trying to talk myself out of calling in to work sick. Every. Single. Morning. Through my school and work career, I was absent at least one day a month from not feeling well. I was always ill and exhausted. Though I managed to portray cheery and bubbly, it was only done with sugar and caffeine as my faithful sidekicks. My body was depleted and suffering from low-level chronic food reactions that made every day a misery. Real food changed that.

Learn what foods actually increase your health, how to incorporate them into your diet, and which foods to stay away from. Experiment with natural remedies to kick a cold. Make homemade toiletries.

We are going to baby step your way into a nutrient-dense diet and healthier lifestyle, just like my family has been doing over the last year and a half. Each baby step will be posted separately and can be done as time allows, in whatever order you choose.

No more processed meals where the packaging provides more sustenance than what’s inside (there was an experimental study that brought that one to light). No more toxic chemicals that need to be locked up away from children and pets. Just real food, safe cleaners, and happy people at the end of the day. Let’s make this happen one baby step at a time.

Medications – You should work closely with your physician to adjust any medications as your body heals. Many of you will be able to say goodbye to “maintenance” medication but some will not.

  • Thanks – great info. Suggestion: add the link to the next segment on each to make it easier to go through. I was very sick from food issues and found that a clean diet made all the difference. Stumbled across your site, and now many others – so many folks striving for health out there! I follow what I call the God diet: If God didn’t make it, I don’t eat it! I appreciate all the folks who are sharing their tips for health living. Thanks again!!

  • I’m looking forward to reading more on the site. My grandma is about to turn 92, and I attribute a lot of her good health to the fact that she grew up on a farm and did not eat much processed foods as a youth. I am trying to eat healthier, but like anything, it works best not to go cold turkey but to make slow changes over time.
