Besides general cleaning and minor cooking, I spent the weekend in bed. I felt weak and shaky which would make me very tired as soon as I started a task. I made sure to eat enough so it wasn’t calorie depletion. I also have not been anywhere close to starving myself or restricting calories. I don’t feel the need to restrict calories when eating the right foods. I did try to calorie binge with the pizza but it didn’t help. After the pizza, the inside corners of my eyes turned dark showing a build up of toxins (also known as allergic shiners). Eating well wasn’t a problem for the majority of the weekend. There weren’t too many cravings battling for attention. Sunday felt a little better with regards to being tired but my muscles still felt quite weak. I incorporated calisthetics here and there throughout the day – 5 pushups then back in bed – to keep from getting too stiff, get my blood moving, and to avoid losing the muscle tone that I’ve been working hard to grow. There was no meat thawed for dinner last night and I couldn’t find the quinoa that I wanted to pair with veggies so decided to order ribs from a local restaurant. I wanted a heavy, indulgent meal as I felt unsatisfied with food and kind of hungry most of the day no matter what I ate. Strangely enough, I started to feel better once I finished my meal. Hmm. That one has me stumped. If it was only calorie related, the pizza should have had the same effect. My best guess right now is that it is all hormone related and corresponds to my cycle, so I’ll be doing some research to see what information I can find. I will beat this lethargy! It’s horribly debilitating and affecting my life in too profound a way.
